Powered by the outstanding new 2.5-litre Duratorq TDCi 105 kW (143 PS) diesel engine, coupled with go-anywhere four-wheel drive, the Ford Ranger XLT’s performance matches its imposing looks.
The Ranger’s highly acclaimed four-wheel drive system is designed to keep going even in the harshest conditions. To engage four-wheel drive, simply move your range selector lever to the ‘4H’ position while stationary, and the system locks in for as long as you need it. You can then shift between four-wheel and two-wheel drive on the fly, at any speed, when conditions change.
The key to the Ranger’s outstanding performance begins with its dependable cross-braced ladder frame chassis. The rigidity and strength of the ladder frame chassis enables the Ranger to overcome the most demanding of driving conditions.
There is a Manufacturers Warranty on the Thunder until March 2011.
